Packing for a California dorm? The list is mostly universal — Twin XL bedding, bath, storage — but the California climate changes the gear that matters, and each school sets its own housing rules. California climate: warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. You'll rarely need a heavy coat or snow gear — a light jacket and a rain layer for winter are plenty. Many older halls skip A/C, so a fan helps through a warm early fall; breathable bedding is the safe call.
