Two rules trip people up here. A standalone microwave is banned outright on electrical-capacity grounds, so a combination MicroFridge unit is the only permitted way to reheat food in your room. And UCLA's weapons policy explicitly includes pepper spray, tasers and stun guns, which students often assume are fine as personal-safety items. A fish tank also needs every roommate or suitemate to agree, with no more than one tank per bedroom.
