Two bans catch people out: voice-activated assistants like an Echo or a Nest are prohibited, along with personal routers, wireless hotspots and any gaming device that needs its own wireless network. And you can't loft your bed unless your residential community provides the service — lofting kits are themselves a prohibited item. You also can't move any other university furniture into your room, only what's there at check-in.
